FRIEND ACTIVITY STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. (WINDOWS)

My Question or Issue

My Spotify desktop app was not connecting to my facebook friends to show friends activity. It showed an error " Sorry, we couldn't load friends to follow." However, it was still showing my Friends activity up until 8 hours ago when I switched on my laptop in the morning. Now it is not showing any friends activity at all and it just says "Find Friends". I spoke to Support as well and they tried to resolve it but the chat ended abruptly and my issue was not resolved.

In case your Friend Activity disappeared completely after not updating properly it's possible you're experiencing an issue that we're currently investigating. We suggest you head to this Ongoing Issue and add your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE button. Make sure you follow the steps provided under Status Update as well. 

It'll also be useful to subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up to date with any relevant updates about this.
