How can i deactivate the "Now playing view", not to open automatically?

Even though i close the "Now playing view", it annoyingly automatically opens whenever i click to start a new playlist or song.
Please make it stop doing this automatically.

Hey @LeslieT, welcome to the Spotify Community!

You can turn off the following setting to disable auto-opening for the new Now Playing View:

Let me know how it goes!

Works great, thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice, but this doesn't work. For example, if a podcast has a video, the Now Playing view opens even when disabled.

Glad to know @LeslieT!

@Their_UI_sux_blows when you play a podcast with video, the now playing view on the right is where the video plays.

This is the default behaviour. For now, there's no way to change it for videos.

For music, you can use the option that I mentioned in the first response.

Let me know if you need help with anything else.
