How to change location of cache data?!

How to change location of cache data?!

I'm using spotify app on Windows 7 and after few days Spotify folder in AppData grows up to 8 GB. How to change it's location or move to another drive?

Hi there @tomaszko99,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

To change the storage location go to the app's Settings > Show Advanced Settings > click on Change Location next to Offline storage location > select the desired location > restart the app.

I'm using G:\SpotifyCache since July I think and still Spotify folder on C has a lot of folders and files. It's size is 1,43 GB.

Can I delete folder located in AppData\Local\Spotify or Spotify App will not work after this?

Hi @tomaszko99,

Thank you for your reply.

You can certainly delete the folder located in AppData\Local\Spotify and the app will still work. However, the next time you open the app a new Spotify folder will be created in AppData since it contains information the app needs to store and resort to.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
