How to correct output 2.1 not 5.1

My Question or Issue

Hi

I am playing Spotify on my desktop, outputting over HDMI to a Yamaha Rx-A3080 AV reciever.

Audio comes out all 5 speakers not just the two front left and right (and the sub).

This is not correct and I cannot see any settings in teh Spotify W10 app to make adjustments.

Can anyone out there help on this please?

I'm afraid you'd have to adjust this through the menu of your receiver or in your device's soundcard preferences. 🙂
