How to disable removing tracks dialoge "you'll need to add them again if you change your mind"

How to disable removing tracks dialoge "you'll need to add them again if you change your mind"

Since I got the new update I cannot remove more than one track at a time without getting that pointless dialogue saying "you'll need to add them again if you change your mind". Oh yeah really, what was I thinking when I wanted to remove them in the first place... Like seriously...?!

Any way to switch that off?

Hey @_daniel_

Help’s here!

First thing we suggest trying is logging out from all devices and then logging back in. Occasionally this is necessary to force a sync of info between your device and our account system.

If the message still comes up after trying this out, make sure you perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. This will get you the latest app version and remove corrupted data that could be causing the issue.

Looking forward to your reply. Enjoy your day!

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the quick response but unfortunately it didn't help.

To me this actually doesn't look like a bug but more like an intended  dialogue. I attached two pictures to show what I mean.

Thanks again

Daniel

Hi @_daniel_

Thanks for getting back to us.

Just to confirm, is the same thing happening when you use the web player?

You can also ask a friend or a family member to log in to their personal account to see if they can replicate this.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Novy,

In the web player I couldn't manage to mark more than one track and delete it, so I cannot tell. But I checked on my wifes Spotify (also new UI) and she gets the same notification when deleting more than one track.

To me this does not look like an error but an intentional message that someone at Spotify thought was a good idea to ask people "are you sure you want to delete? really? very sure?" 😄

For some people who discover the internet and pcs and software for the first time in their lives that might be a valid notification, but for all others that dialogue becomes annoying after seeing it for the first time... especially because of its content...

Thanks

Daniel

Hey @_daniel_,

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

We can confirm that this is an expected behavior. This notification pops up so songs that were accidentally selected can't be directly deleted.

In case you don't want to see it while deleting tracks, you can select the songs, right click and choose Remove from this playlist.

You can also head here and share your feedback in the thread about the new desktop app.

We'll be right here if you have any further questions.
