My Question or Issue
For all of those who are trying to install the original version of spotify,as a traditional program I mean, and it ends up converting/"migrating the data" to the Microsoft store version.
(Writting this because I couldn't reply with this/my solution to an already opened forum about this topic)
Here's how to get the original spotify back:
1-Uninstall Windows Store Spotify IN ALL WINDOWS 10 ACCOUNTS(if you have more than one in your pc)
2-Run CCleaner (in all accounts) on registry and fix all issues
3-Install regular Spotify
4-Run CCleaner (in all accounts) on registry and fix all issues
5-Launch, close and Uninstall regular Spotify
6-Delete Spotify folder in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming (should it exist) (in all users folders)
7-Run CCleaner (in all accounts) on registry and fix all issues
8-Restart PC
9-Run CCleaner (in all accounts) on registry and fix all issues
10-Install regular spotify version, with the executible file.
It worked for me. Give it a try 😄
Kind regards,
Rui
