Hello,

How to prevent Spotify in browser from downloading files to the disk? Spotify is downloading each played song, it's bad for SSD shorting it's lifespan and it terribly slows the browser. I do not want to install the spotify app because it's a trash.

The Spotify Web Player doesn't download content like the desktop app or the mobile apps. Could you help me with more details about where are yous seeing this and a screen recording if possible?

You can also try to clear your browser cookies/cache, and try with another browser to confirm if this is happening elsewhere.
