My Question or Issue
Anybody has a solution to see the entirety of "Appears on" section from an artist like before? With the update it only shows randomly chosen albums.
Hey @rnartin,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
You should still be able to see the whole Appears On section in the new desktop app.
If you can't see it, we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app following these specific steps. This process is more thorough than the usual one.
If that doesn't make any difference, would you mind sending us a screenshot of how you're seeing that section on your end so we can take a closer look? Make sure not to send any private info.
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
I have reinstalled the application following your instructions but nothing has changed.
Here is an example of the problem:
In the section "Appears on" of Avicii there are not all the albums where he appears, for example the Ultra Music Festival Anthems EP does not appear whereas the title "UMF" of Avicii appears there.
Or else do you have an efficient way to get an artist's complete discography on Spotify?
Hi there @rnartin,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Could you let us know if you can see all the albums you mention on a different device?
On another note, make sure to click on "See All" on the right part of every section to see all the content.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
I can't see all the albums on my other devices either.
Hey there @rnartin,
Thanks for the reply.
You should be able to see all that an Artist has labeled as their content under Albums > See discography.
On desktop you should be able to click on see more on the right-hand side of Appears On.
If that's not the case, could you try creating a free account for test purposes and check whether you see all albums on your computer?
We tried reproducing this on our end and this is what we see:
Keep us posted.
I can click on "see all" but after it shows a random selection of albums and not all those where the artist appears.
Hi @rnartin,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Could you send over the URI of the albums that are not appearing on this section? We'll take a better look from our end and report this if needed.
We'll be right here.
For example, this album (spotify:album:1jQtxET7D0d24KlarrDoiP) doesn't appear on the "Appears on" section of Avicii.
Hi again @rnartin,
Thanks for this info!
We've forwarded this to the right folks who will take a look into it. We'll get back to you as soon as we have any news.
In the meantime, if you find any other examples of albums in our catalogue that should be added to this section on any artist profile, feel free to add them here and we'll continue investigating.
Cheers!
