How to shut down shortcut symbol when changing volume?

When I am using commando "fn" + f11/f12 to modify the volume when streaming through Spotify I am getting a shortcut symbol in the left corner on the screen. My problem is that I can not choose to shut down this annoying shortcut symbol, instead I have to wait for like 5 - 10 seconds. I have tried a lot of commandos, but with no success. Hence, I will remember that on earlier versions of Spotify I could easily use the same commando to shut down it. Could anyone help me?
