I cant see my friends activity

My Question or Issue

my friends and I like to see what others are listening to, the problem is that i can't see them but they can see me. we have already tried turning the private session on and off, the same with the share activity option. we follow each other, this problem only happens with certain accounts. we even restarted the friend feed and the app multiple times. is there anything i can do to solve this?

We suggest that you you:

• Check the app is up-to-date.
• Check your device’s operating system is up-to-date.
• Restart the app. 
• Log out of Spotify, then back in. 
• Reinstall the app.
  Note: You'll need to redownload any offline music after reinstalling.
