Interrupted song does not fully stop if I jump to the next song in the play list on Windows 10

when stopping a song in my play list and skipping to the next, the song I stopped continues to play a few beats before switching to the next on I've selected. If I play it on my Windows 10 computer, it works fine but the problem persists if I'm using blue tooth to another device (my receiver). Very frustrating if I'm trying to do a song quiz with friends
