Keeps restarting tracks, skips tracks, playing random songs...

Sometimes it plays 1 second and restarts the song.

Sometimes it skips to a random song (not even in the playlist).  

Sometimes it only plays the first song of the list.

Sometimes it pauses.  And starts at random.

Sometimes a combination of ALL!!!!

Right now i can't even play a song I want.

... Ok... started playing a random song.

I have already:  deleted cache, re-installed, set default listening device... etc etc... I'm not even mad it connected to my receiver in which I didn't even setup spotify with.

... nope.  back to 00:01 again.

Sick of it.  Now I plan to unsubscribe, if I can't get this to work now.  

Sad. I recommend spotify to friends and was going to upgrade to a family plan... 

I've listened to the same 10 seconds of the same song over and over... can't change the track...

Oh.  Now it's a random track... 

... **bleep**!  back to the same 10 seconds of the song for the past 5min!

Pause.

Pause.

Restart.

That doesn't sound cool. Could you let me know the following information to get a clearer picture on the issue?

1. Your device
2. Your devices operating system
3. The client version (You can find it under About Spotify)

I have the same problem but perhaps not to the same degree.  I'm playing on my Sony TV, connected with my Samsung S6 Edge.  Sometimes it plays fine and then it decides to restart a song, might play half the song or 5 secs.  Then it restarts that song and may do it half a dozen times before I get fed up and move to next track.  After that it might play okay for awhile or the same thing might happen.  Sometimes when I try to move to next track it skips that track and moves to the next.  Sometimes it restarts the song say 3 times and then it plays through and it is fine.  It has been doing this for at least a week as my kids were moaning about it but assumed it was them bumping controls, but today it is just me home.  Argh, it just restarted a song again...

I'm having a similar issue through my Amazon Echo. Every song restarts part way through. It's driving me crazy!

Having same issue on:

Have had this problem since day 1 of spotify for years.. On all devices and operating systems i have tried the spotify clients on. Seems to be a buffering issue when it runs out of buffer it just restarts the song instead of waiting for the buffer and hope it will had the time to rebuffer the song when it comes to the end of buffer again.
