List of available devices incomplete

When I want to stream from my desktop app to other devices in my network, it shows nor my chromecast audio, nor my google home, UNLESS they are actively used at that moment.

It seems this flaw is specific for the spotify desktop application because my android app works fine, both on my mobile phone and tablet.

The problem exists both for the free and premium subscription.  I have windows 10.

It's definitely a Spotify problem, on my phone I can open Google Home, Pandora and Spotify. Only Spotify has incomplete device listing.

Good news!

You can now find Chromecast in the connect "devices available" menu in the Spotify desktop app and browser web player. Now you can cast your music to Chromecast from the desktop app without having to use the iOS or Android app.

Make sure your Spotify desktop app is up to date
