Local files not showing on desktop but does on iPhone

My Question or Issue

Before upgrading to Windows 11 I had local files in the file explorer music library.  After completing a fresh install for Windows, I lost those files (silly me forgot to back them up) and I no longer have access to them on desktop. On my iPhone I am able to see the local files however play as normal.

Is it possible to recover the lost files on the desktop or will I have to obtain new copies?

Thanks for reaching out.

If you've synced the files from your desktop to your phone, unfortunately it won't be possible to reverse-sync them back to your desktop, so in this case you'll need to obtain new copies.
