Multiple songs selection doesn't work in Spotify's Top Songs (Charts) Playlists

Multiple songs selection doesn't work in Spotify's Top Songs (Charts) Playlists

I'm using Spotify for Windows 1.2.6.863.ge7902f05

For years I've been creating "top hits" playlists, with top songs from countries' charts. Today, when trying to select the top 10 songs for any country chart, the multiple selection didn't work. I tried ctrl+click, shift+click and ctrl+A.

What is most weird is that this only happens in this kind of playlists from Spotify. My playlists and other Spotify playlists have no problem, only these ones.

Hey @festevao,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We really appreciate the time you took to let us know this and rest assured we'll pass your feedback to the right team. We know you want to make the most of your listening experience.

In this case, keep in mind the chart playlists behave differently than a regular playlist, so that might be the reason why you can't do this anymore. No worries, as a workaround, you can create a copy of the chart by going to its three-dot menu> Add to other playlists. There you can select either to add them to an existing playlist or create a new one.

We'll be here if anything else comes up. Once again, thanks for the feedback.

Hi @AlejaR,

Thanks for the response.

I know that they behave differently than regular playlists, and regarding other features that's fine. But this specific feature had been present since I can remember (I've been making these kinds of playlists since 2016) and my main my question is why change this specific behavior, and why now...

Your workaround works fine, but it's just unnecessary work for no apparent reason. But I guess it is what it is.

For whom it may interest, I'm using now the most recent version for Windows 64 bit (1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1) and this feature is back working again for all types of charts
