Music is now distorted and garbled

Music is now distorted and garbled

Been using Spotify 3 years now virtually no problems.  But in the last couple days have had problems with the sound being distorted and garbled streaming from the Windows Spotify app through Airfoil.   Happened last week and a reboot fixed it.  Now rebooting everything, including router and Marantz receiver multiple times isn't working.

 

If I switch the Spotify source to iTunes on the same PC the music plays fine.   If I send the output from Spotify instead to an Amazon Echo device it plays fine.   Its only when I set the device to play on to "This Computer" and Airfoil source to Spotify its sounding like its playing in a low speed and distorted.  And that is the setup I've been using for 3 years without these issues.

 

Any ideas on what to try to fix it?
