My username shows up as a bunch of random letters and numbers.

So I just made my Spotify account through the website and my username shows up as random letters and numbers. I checked in the android app and it looks the same as in the website. I didn't login to Facebook or anything, I used my email.

Is there any way to solve this?

edit: Also in the desktop app it shows up fine.

The random username(username showed as a bunch of random letters and numbers) is just a way to keep in track of user data on Spotify, so you won't have to worry that much about it 🙂

However, your real username(LemonBaskets) should be visible to others and able to be found by just searching your username; 

If you want your Facebook username to appear on your profile, you can connect your Facebook account with Spotify.

Yep. Same thing here. Apparentely it's just how it goes. It appears correctly here and in the app though.
