NEED HELP!!! can't download my playlists!?

Device - Toshiba Laptop

Operating System - Windows 7

My Question or Issue

So, I am a premium member with a laptop... I am trying to download the music I have selected from Spotify onto my hard drive so that I can put them on an MP3 player... when I select the "download" button, it goes through the motion (233 of 233 downloaded successfully) but when I go to the file directory I find that it has only downloaded 233 individual folders that are completely empty... HELP PLEASE!!! :S

I recently had to change up from an old version to the New builds, and the syncing issues are indeed strange, your parent folder may show 10gigs but the folders inside seem empty? But regarding adding your playlist downloads as mp3 I doubt you can do that? There is software out there now that allows you to add a playlist to it and then convert it to various formats, Google it as I can't really say what it is on here!
