Why can't Spotify let users hide or dismiss content recommendations that we are not interested in!?!?!?

It seems like a simple thing to let paying users curate their own home screen or at least train Spotify's AI in a more direct manner with a button that says "I'm not interested in this content."

But no... the ONLY option we're allowed is either to "show more" or actually play the damn stuff.  It's INFURIATING.

I'm going to start directly emailing the content creators featured and give them a good serving of abuse since I can't hide their shows.

My Question or Issue

Every week or so, shortly after I launch the Spotify app, I see a "Recommended For You" popup of something (usually a concert) that I'm not interested in.  I didn't find a way to disable this in the app settings, such as through the Notifications section.  How can I stop getting spammed with these ads?

I'm not sure why my post about "Recommended For You" popups over playlists got moved into this thread about the Home screen.

My popups have become even more relentless over the past several months. I reached out to Customer Support, but they gave me the runaround.

Maybe unrelated, but I recently went to Search -> Live Events -> Change Location, and changed my location to Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada, a small town on the coast of the Arctic Ocean. I'm not sure when I plan to visit there, but maybe my favorite band deciding to drive 600 miles from the nearest paved road will influence my decision!
