Songs don't play on Windows

When trying to play a song on the Desktop application it simply just doesn't play... It doesn't queue, nothing.. I previously had an issue where nothing would load however I had fixed that, but I can't find anything to fix this... I've tried Reinstalling, Flushing the DNS, Removing app data, turning of Hardware Acceleration, and turning off proxy however when I turn off proxy I get  the no-loading issue all over again. And before you tell me to look in hosts or whatever, no, spotify does not show up...

Thanks for reaching out.

We've tried testing this on our end but could not reproduce this. There also haven't been any significant reports about such issues. Could you please test the following:

• Does this also happen when playing from the webplayer on the same device?
• If you start the playback on mobile, can you then control the playback from the PC? Also, can you then switch the playback to the PC? Does the app work then?

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
