New user. Can't seem to get going with Spotify. Totally confused

My Question or Issue

New User. Worked okay 1st time but now, 2nd time I tried to use Spotify, it just scrolls through a playlist without playing. Haven't got a clue why or what to do as this is all new to me

Thanks for reaching out to us here, and welcome aboard 🙂

Just to confirm, is the issue that when you try playing, say, a playlist from the start, it quickly skips through all the songs without actually playing them?

If so, could you first try a clean reinstall of the app on your device? Just follow the relevant steps listed in this Spotify Answer.

If that doesn't work, could you see if switching to a different network connection makes any difference?

Hi, thanks for the links, this solved my problem. Its taken me a while to suss it out but I've got an Asus Xonar soundcard and it seems that was causing the problem. I couldn't access the audio centre and I tried uninstalling the driver and it didn't make any difference, but eventually I installed the driver and I could then view the audio centre and disable the DSP mode and I was then able to use Spotify.
