No Notifications for New Content

I thought with the new following update that for any bands that you follow you're supposed to get a notification that they have a new single/album added. Last week I saw a couple of notifications. This week there are a few bands that have new music out that i'm following and are on Spotify but I didn't recieve a notification for. E.g. Jake Bugg, The Strokes.
