Play button greyed out in the Windows application

Play button greyed out in the Windows application

Every time I open up my Windows Spotify application bottom middle play button is greyed out and when I try to play any playlist any song etc. nothing happens I can only listen to the songs using the Spotify web app

As a first step, can you please let us know the following:

  • Your OS version, and Spotify version.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the app?
  • Does the issue persist when using a different internet connection?
