Playlist and profile picture bug

Playlist and profile picture bug

Hi there,

Sorry to bother. I'm currently a free user using a Windows 10. The issue that I am currently facing is that whenever I try to change my profile picture on the desktop app, the profile picture does not exactly save its changes. The picture that I update reverts back to the blank default icon whenever I reopen spotify. I have tried reinstalling multiple times as well as re-login in. However the issue does not seem to fix. This is also the case when it comes to my own playlist where the pictures, names and also the description of my playlist I upload does not stay and it reverts back to the previous picture. Can someone tell me a solution to this? Thank you.

PS: Is this a premium feature or was there an update where I am now not allowed to change my profiles and playlist covers via the desktop app. Im not too sure what exactly is the problem but I can still add songs to my playlist. However when I tried to change my profile and playlists details using another device (via Macbook air desktop app) the same problem occurs.

Hey there @andrengzw2324,

Welcome to the Community! We're happy to help.

Changing the profile picture and playlist covers are features available both to free and Premium users.

Since you've tried using another device we recommend you try restarting your router or using a different network, because there might a connection issue.

If you have the possibility, try logging in on a mobile device to change your profile photo from there.

In case none of those suggestions help, we'd recommend asking a friend or a family to log in on the app on your device to see if the app behaves the same way.

Keep us posted on how it goes. Let us know if you have more questions.

Have an awesome day!
