Playlist titles & descriptions not working properly with new March /April 2021 update

Playlist titles & descriptions not working properly with new March /April 2021 update

- Premium Plan USA

- All windows desktop apps (I tested on 4 different computers), Windows 10

Got the new update last week, and instantly have a couple of big new issues:

1. Display of longer playlist titles gets cut off (see screenshot)

2. Playlist description limit is wrong: while the web and mobile apps use a 300-character limit, but, inexplicably, now the desktop app uses a 200-character limit! The 300 still display, but you can't edit it without losing 100 characters! And only, I repeat, on the desktop app. (see screenshot)

I had to use all 3 interfaces (web, mobile and desktop) to update my playlists this week.Spotify bug 2.JPGSpotify Bug 1.JPG

Hi there @RadioD-Ave,

Thank you for reaching out to us here in the Community.

Can you let us know which versions of the apps you have on the devices you've tested this on?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Hello - The desktop app version in question is *1.1.56.595.g2d2da0de-a*
(the latest (web-style UI) and it is the same across all my Windows 10
devices.

P.S. There is actually a 3rd bug (pre-existing on mobile and web) that now
has been ported into the latest desktop app. Special characters are
rendered as a string of nonsense characters (see previous screenshot from
my post) when the description is opened into edit mode. All these bugs are
related in that they are problems with text for playlists.

Today my windows app (on multiple machines) updated and the double-issue described here has been fixed (partial display, wrong character count)! While I doubt I had a role in it, that doesn't detract from my pleasure at having a more functional app! Now, if they could only debug the garbage characters that appear instead of apostrophes and quotes in playlist edit mode...  Still, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!
