Popping/clipping sound randomly when playing music

Using windows 10 and playing a track in spotify, I get random popping/clipping sounds that happen when playing the song. It comes and goes and is jarring, how do I fix this? I already reinstalled spotify.

This sounds like a hardware issue rather than a Spotify problem.

In Settings, confirm that Music Quality is set to High Quality Streaming (if Premium). 

Also, under Advanced Settings, try turning Hardware Acceleration on as well. 

Does this happen in other applications? Have you tried different headphones or speakers to test?
