Problems with saving albums as playlists on my Desktop (iOS user)

Problems with saving albums as playlists on my Desktop (iOS user)

On the desktop version of Spotify for iOS. If you create a new playlist from an album by dragging it to playlists it comes out at "album title" - "artist name" rather than the right way around ("artist name" - "album title"). It's been like this for ages and is really annoying, and it hasn't been fixed. If however, you use the dropdown on the album to turn it into a playlist it's the correct way around. If like me you've got a huge library of music which are in folders and sub folders this can be a pain to do. HELP!!!

Hey there @citizenwatt,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Even though that's how the app currently works, there are alternatives 🙂 You can save an album by clicking on the heart icon under the Album's title. Then, you find all the albums you've saved in Your Library > Albums.

However, if you think that other users might like your idea as well, it's well worth adding it to our ideas board here. Others can then vote on it or add to the conversation to show their support.

Cheers - If you have any questions, just let us know!

Dexter, that really doesn't help anyone. Nobody files their record collection by the title of the album rather than by artist. And you ignored the fact that 1. this used to work properly 2. It works on the iOS app and 3. You can do it by a more protracted route on the desktop, which isn't user friendly. It's the sort of thing your UX team should have spotted when the mistake was made! Looks like I'm going to have to live with it. You do make life hard....
