My Question or Issue
for the last day or so, when I put a song on repeat one, after the song repeats maybe four or five times, the playlist automatically moves on to the next song, even though I didn't want it to or turn off "repeat one". like i said, this didn't happen a couple of days ago. am I missing something or is this an error on Spotify's part?
I'm having the same issue. I'm playing from the web app. song will repeat until an ad comes on, then moves to the next song in my playlist. If I go back to that song, it still pulls up another song in my queue regardless of the repeat 1 being selected. I can clear the queue by selecting random then clearing the random button, but as soon as an ad plays it's right back to ignoring the repeat 1. The repeat1 is shown as active the entire time.
It's super frustrating.
Hey @kshphes,
Thanks for reaching out.
Can you please share the model, OS version and Spotify version of the affected devices?
Cheers,
It used to be that when I opened spotify, I would always have what I played on repeat. This is my default preference. Now it defaults to stopping at the end of the album or playlist each time I reopen the app so I have to turn repeat on. Can you bring this feature back?
Hey folks,
The team investigating this is asking for your exact Spotify version. Can you please share this if you haven't already?
Cheers,
On my phone: OnePlus 8, Android 13, spotify version 8.8.76.667
What troubleshooting do you suggest I begin with?
On my laptop: Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.22.982.g794acc0a
iPhone 13 pro: 8.8..78.670
Macbook Pro: Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.22.982.g794acc0a
i am also having this problem
Asking the OS so many times is a tactic of the programmers that consists of playing dumb and saving time, they know very well that it is an error in the website/application that they themselves can easily reproduce. That said, in my case it only does two repetitions and changes the song. I attach video.
I have the same problem when I use the repeat one button. It only repeats a song a second time and after that it continues to the next song and that song also plays two times before agian moving on to the next song. This happens while I'm listening on the spotify website on my pc.

My Question or Issue
Hey, when I loop songs on Spotify they play normally until an ad plays, then it goes to the next song in the queue and loops that. Is there a way anyone knows to fix it?
mine does the same thing
Album repeat no longer works using the Spotify site. All the "solutions" offered refer to the app and don't address the problem with respect to the site. For reasons I won't get into, I don't want to use the app on my computers (the computer app has annoying quirks). The album repeat function used to work fine from the site. And yes, I know what icon to click to for album repeat. It. Doesn't. Work. Spotify just goes into the mode where, after the album completes, it plays other related songs. This problem arose sometime in Fall 2023. It occurs on both my computers, so it's not a PC or browser issue. It's a Spotify website issue. Period. The issue does not exist in the Android app. It's. The. Spotify. Site.
I thought I was going insane and was the only person experiencing this. I play spotify on my xbox all the time. I used to listen to single spotify songs on repeat one for hours at a time to avoid ads. One song would infinitely repeat with no ad breaks for as long as I wanted. Unfortunately, that seems to have changed as I'm having this same issue. After a couple of repeats I get interrupted by ads, then it skips to the next song in the playlist. If there isn't a playlist, it just stops playing the song entirely and it becomes silent. Why did you guys have to change this? Just makes the experience much worse now.
I'm having this issue aswell on the Windows 10 web browser
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1
@o364 Did spotify intentionally do this?
Thanks for the info @richestofnixons22!
@o364, could you share the exact version of Spotify you're running, along with all troubleshooting you've tried so far?
Those of you who own a Samsung TV, could you check if the issue still occurs on your end?
We'll be on the lookout for your replies. Cheers!
i've got exactly the same problem.
here is a video of it happening after 3-5 repeats:
edit: removed accidental double post
I've been dealing with a music loop glitch on my Xbox One S for about two months, just like some others have mentioned, and it's pretty annoying. After a few plays or after ads, the music transitions to the next track instead of staying in a loop. Strangely, even after this transition, the interface continues to indicate that the loop mode is active for the previous track.
I've taken steps to troubleshoot by logging out and back in, deleting and reinstalling the app, and even tried controlling Spotify on my Xbox using my computer. Unfortunately, regardless of adjusting the loop on the Xbox sidebar or entering the application directly, the problem persists.
Details:
It would be immensely helpful if the support team could delve deeper into the issue rather than repeatedly asking for the device and version.
@skoolofthought perfectly described the problem, so it would be great if you could take that into consideration.
(And I won't be sending a video. Can't the support team visualize the problem or what?)
Thanks,
Dzsúlió
