My Question or Issue
for the last day or so, when I put a song on repeat one, after the song repeats maybe four or five times, the playlist automatically moves on to the next song, even though I didn't want it to or turn off "repeat one". like i said, this didn't happen a couple of days ago. am I missing something or is this an error on Spotify's part?

To whomever reads this I was hoping to get some clarification on something I've be experiencing over the last few days.
When using my Spotify on my Xbox series X and using the repeat 1 option the song I select will now only play for 5 times before going to the next song. And even though it says that the next song is the 1 I selected it will change to a different song.
I don't currently have premium so I was thinking this is a new change for people without premium.
But I hope to get some clarification to whether this is a new change or a bug/unintended

Whenever I enable the repeat one for a song, after about 5 repeats or after an ad break it moves to the next song in the queue. I tested this on different browsers and it persists, I've tried logging out and clearing the cache and cookies. I'm unsure if this is an intended "feature" or if it's just some oversight.

What device does this occur on? Could you let us know the version of Spotify you're running? A short screen recording which shows how things look on your end would also be greatly appreciated.
It's worth logging out and signing back in to your account twice in a row - this triggers an internal refresh of the app that may help here. You can also try a clean reinstall of the app, if you haven't already.
In case the issue persists, try logging in to another account (a friend's or a relative's would do) to see if the issue would occur there as well.

I have the same problem. I use Spotify on playstation (free version) since many years but yesterday and today, when I used the repeat button, the music played 3 times and it skipped to another one. It never happened before. I tried to delet and re-install spotify, to disconnect and reconnect my account but the problem is still here. One of my friend have the same problem.

For some reason, last week I noticed that the repeat button turns off by itself completely. Not repeat one, but the repeat button isn't green it just turns white. Meaning that it is completely off. I find it so annoying when I search a song and play it, and then the repeat button turns off completely. Idk why they decided to do this. Is anyone else having this problem or just me?

It's been a few weeks now that on my tv, after the ads ends and the music comes back the repeat mode is not on anymore, it's pretty annoying tbh and I can't rely on Spotify anymore for repeat mode when I'm trying to sleep.
I've only gotten 3-4 ads chained recently, not any single ads, I don't know it may be a cause though.
The issue doesn't seem to happen on my computer (Win11).
