Hey there @killos53,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

We've tried that on our end and can confirm it still works. We suggest running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps. This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. We also suggest downloading the app again from the Microsoft Store.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Doesn't work for me, either.  And using the volume control with the mouse is also buggy in this new version, as the volume doesn't actually change until you've moved and released the control (where as it had always previously worked that the volume would change as you slide the control).

Hi there @hschlossberg,

Thanks for reaching out.

I just tested it and can confirm that the scroll wheel still works for turning the volume up/down, and also that the volume changes when pressing the volume indicator with the mouse and moving it left/right (without releasing it).

Try logging out, restarting your device, and logging back in. If that doesn't do the trick, can you confirm if you've performed a clean reinstall with the steps in the guide I shared above? Those are very thorough and can help with such issues.

If the issue persists, we'd like to know the exact Spotify version you're running.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Thanks for your quick response.  I completely uninstalled, re-downloaded, and reinstalled the Spotify app again yesterday and now everything works -- the mousewheel, the volume changing while sliding, the discography song list, the option for album list view.

The original version updater is obviously incomplete or buggy since the results were so bad without the total reinstall.  There are still changes in the new UI that I'm not thrilled about (i.e. page headers taking the top third of the screen, lack of artist 'about' and 'related artists' links, etc), but the new UI certainly isn't the dog that the auto-updater had left me with.

Thanks again!

Hey @hschlossberg,

Thanks for keeping us posted.

We're glad to now that a full reinstall was helpful and now the app is working as expected.

Keep in mind that the About section is still there - you just need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the artist page and you'll find it there. You can click on it to view the full biography and the pictures.

You can also find a section called Fans also like when scrolling down in the artist page, which shows you related artists.

We also invite you to share any feedback about the new interface in this Community blog, which is being monitored by the right folks in order to collect all your feedback, as it helps us to keep improving the app and the overall experience.

If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, we're always a post away.

Have a great weekend 🙂
