My Question or Issue

Since last week, after I bought a new iPhone (been Android user before), I recognized after syncing a few local files from my PC to my phone, that most of them were suddenly greyed out and unplayable.

I have a collection of around 250 local songs and around 100 are greyed out.

On my old phone, where they are all synced, they are still playable.

The files worked normally for a long time and none of them are protected.

New files that I add, even saved in the same folder, are playable as they should be.

 

I checked the files and they are not protected of damaged or anything like that.

Last thing I did with them before finding them greyed out on Spotify was uploading some of them to my MEGA cloud.

 

I'd be thankful for any information regarding my problem because it annoys me that I'm paying 10€/month for a Premium service that is not Premium at all.

Thank you for your post. We're sorry to hear that you experiencing this. We're happy to help.

Can you change the source folder of the local files on the pc? The steps are: Uninstall Spotify on both devices -> create a new folder somewhere else on the pc and move the local files there ->install Spotify again -> remove any potential source folders and add the new one -> download the playlist again.
