My Question or Issue

Every page I go to in the Spotify app just wont work and say "Something went wrong try reloading the page" but music still plays and I have connection. It's been happening for 3 days. apparently Spotify was "down" and they fixed it but where? I uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted pc, it works in the website but doesn't work in the app. As you can see even ads still play but I cant see anything.

Hi there @erlo,

Thanks for reaching out!

Can you try following these steps to see if that makes a difference:

  1. Press Windows key + R
  2. Enter the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users
  3. Delete all folders and files inside
  4. Restart Spotify

Keep us posted.

Hi there @Dessi,

I just tried that and i'm still getting the same issue. it only happened to me few hours ago. been looking around for a fix.

I can still listen to music fine just not able to access the page.

I've cleared the cache, signed out of everywhere, reinstalled to the latest version and flushed DNS.

Hey @Jemsn,

Thanks for reaching out!

Can you make sure your network is set to private? Another thing you can try is resetting it: Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset

It's also a good idea to check if your antivirus software has any network management functions and turn them off temporarily, as well as make sure Spotify is allowed via the firewall.

It'd also be great if you can check if you get the same error in the Web Player and ask someone to log in their Spotify account on your PC to test if they experience the same thing.

Keep us posted.

Hi @Dessi,

Maybe it fixed itself overnight, but it works fine now. Might be ISP issue.

I have this issue, there is no way I can access settings, because the settings tab won't open either. It just says to reload the page and nothing happens.

Hey @endow72,

In case the issue still persists on your end, try going through the abovementioned troubleshooting steps.
I would also recommend checking the hosts file and deleting any Spotify entries as shown here.

If these don't help, see if removing the entire app and its files and installing it anew would make a difference. Follow these exact steps to do so.

Many thanks! Keep us posted on how things go 🙂

I can't use Spotify offline. The error message prevents me from accessing my library offline. Clicking the big green "reload page" button does nothing but make the screen go blank then after 30s this same error appears.

Whenever I try to access artist pages or playlists and albums it shows the 3 dot symbol for 15-20 seconds and then says something went wrong, try again/something went wrong, we couldn't find that playlist/artist. I can still play those albums and playlists, but I cannot access them to change songs, etc. I have tried logging in and out of my account and restarting my Chromebook multiple times, but it does not change anything.

The point is that when the internet is out, we shouldn't require internet to put spotify in offline mode. We should be able to just switch offline mode on and not have to connect to the internet, and then put spotify offline while still connected. Outages happen and are unpredictable so it can't be a requirement that spotify be online when the "offline mode" is toggled on/off.

Something went wrong while loading the artist on my chromebook. I don't know what to do

I get the error message and I can't access any playlists I made or other people's. I also can't access albums. All of my public playlists have also been taken off and on one of my playlist, the title of it is gone. I also didn't get my Spotify wrapped. The problem only happens on one of the accounts on my Chrome OS laptop (not Spotify account, google account) and works on any other computers.
