Songs only play from my Library (Windows 10)

My Question or Issue

I can only play songs saved to my Library (as an Album or on a Playlist).

Example: go to the Artist page for Biffy Clyro, play the song 'Sounds Like Balloons' from the album 'Opposites' - nothing. But if I add the Album to my Library, it immediately starts playing. 

I've done a clean reinstall and the problem is still there. So basically I can only ever listen to songs saved to my Library. I'm wondering if this is a Windows 10 update- specific issue, as I've never experienced it on this device before.

Just to confirm, have you tried a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device using the steps here? We recommend the steps in that guide, as they’re very thorough and make sure no damaged leftover files remain.

If that doesn't fix things could you let us know if the issue persists when connected to another internet network? Perhaps a mobile hotspot could be a convenient way to test this out. If it's an option for you it would also help the troubleshooting process a lot if you could check if you can replicate the issue when using another account.
