Songs stop after clicking spacebar

Even when I play a game the music stops after clicking spacebar. Logging out and logging in didn't work. Can someone help?

Just to check, is the Spotify app running in the background when this happens? Does this happen with both the desktop app and while using the Web Player? Keep in mind that while the app or Web Player is open in the foreground, pressing the space bar will pause (or start) the track that's currently playing. You can find more info on shortcuts here.

If the service is running in the background, could you try clearing cache from the app to see if it makes any difference? If you're using the Web Player, you can try clearing cache and cookies from the browser. You can also check with another browser to see if the same thing happens there. It's also worth check for any extensions in your browser, that might be interfering with the keys and playback.
