My Question or Issue

As of April 15, 2021 Spotify has again made another stupid decision about format design. This time the song list display for any playlist created by a user is defaulted to a display as a "queue" rather than making queue as a secondary option. Instead the sort list, which could be sorted by any column from album to artist to song is now difficult to locate. This occurred when the "engineers" added album covers to each song displayed in the playlist.   Within the queue, I there is no flexibility or ability to sort or edit my playlist at all. If I choose to delete a song from my playlist while listening to that playlist, I must first attempt to locate a dropdown list to change from "custom" to "song" or "artist" etc.  The problem is that the dropdown is not obvious on the page during playback and difficult to locate.  This format change is not user friendly and is a pain in the a$$.

Hi there @williamdallas77,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Can you let us know exactly what you mean by ''defaulted to a display as a queue''? Regarding the sorting, you can now sort your playlists from the drop down menu on the top right corner of the songs list, or you can also do it by clicking on each column (Title/Artist, Album, Date Added, Duration) until you get your desired sorting, as it was before.

You can still edit your playlist as you wish by clicking and dragging the songs to the desired place in the playlist. You can also remove a song from a playlist the same way as before - by right clicking on it > Remove from playlist, or with the keyboard shortcut pressing Del (Windows) or Del, Backspace (Mac) and it won't have an impact on the playlist order.

We hope this helps. We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
