Spotify App or Web stops working or responding - due to ads blocked at workplace

At my workplace, trying to use my Spotify Premium, the desktop app plays maybe one song before stopping responding. It even won't close and only can via task manager. I strongly believe this is because it is trying to load ads or content being filtered by our workplace firewall.

As per many best practice guidance, we block all ads at the firewall. Such as the FBI and Australian Government ACSC. Ads are a common conduit for malware.

Most applications and services provide information on required URLs and ports to allow or exlude from proxy or filtering. I can't find this for Spotify. Has anyone worked this out or can someone from Spotify pleae provide this info? For example worked out 4070 TCP out, but to what IPs or ranges? This is basic info to provide lol.

In this case, it might help to try a clean reinstall of the desktop app to rule out any local glitches. However, since it sounds like the issue is related to firewall restrictions at your workplace, this is unfortunately something outside of our control.

At the moment, Spotify doesn't officially publish a list of IPs or URLs for whitelisting, which I know would be super useful in cases like yours.
