Spotify Windows 10 app stuck on black screen

My Question or Issue

(Because my English not very good , I will try my best to explan.)

I have this problem when installed spotify from SpotifySetup.exe and Microsoft Store. When open spotify , it just stuck on black screen. 

And I found the way to solve the problem from a website

Some bug make the app can't load currect language packge. To solve this problem need to rename the language packge "zh-Hant.mo" to "zh-TW.mo" at location "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\locales" , and then restart spotify.

 Rename "zh-Hant.mo"

 

  To "zh-TW.mo"

This bug had exist for a long time.

Thanks for sharing, this critical bug existed at many releases and affects many people in Taiwan.

It is frustrating that the dev/qa teams haven't noticed such obvious issue. 😭

Can't believe Spotify official is not aware of this problem that exists for almost a year...

We can confirm that the Spotify teams are aware of this issue and working on fix. I'm afraid we don't have an exact timeframe for when this will get fixed.

At the same time, I'm surprised that it's been a year and no one at Spotify is willing to fix this simple issue. It pretty much says a lot about the company -- They are willing to spend millions of dollars on Racists Joe Rogan and defending him, but unwilling to spend a few minutes fixing a major technical issue for its customers.  Pretty Shameful.

Dunno if it's fixed on Taiwanese locales, but the same exact issue is now on Finnish locale Windows 11 when using English language..
