Spotify app on Windows not Downloading Podcasts

My desktop app on Windows will not download any podcasts. It downloads music just fine, it is only podcasts that have a problem. My app is up to date, I've restarted the computer, I've even deleted and reinstalled the app, and it still is not working. Music downloads just fine, and the podcasts will still play, but I can't get any of the podcasts to download. What's going on?

• Have you performed the clean reinstall using the exact steps in this guide?
• Does the issue persist when using a different connection?
• What happens when you hit the download button?

I have the same problem, and I have found that when I use my spotify for Android app and open the "my podcasts" folder it will populate on the android device, and then (afterwards) it will populate on the windows device.  It seems that the windows app has trouble seeing the new episodes, but after the Android app "notices" the new episodes and populates the "playlist" the windows app will then mirror it.  It is inconvenient to have to do this step and I would like for BOTH apps to automatically grab the subscribed podcasts.  I enjoy it when I can open my spotify app and my subscribed podcasts are already there and waiting for me.
