My Question or Issue
Spotify app is remarkably slow on Windows 11. There will be a couple of seconds of delay when trying to interact with any of the media controls, such as pausing/resuming, volume bar, skipping/rewinding songs, playing songs from the search bar, etc. I have tried using keyboard shortcuts to pause/resume and skip/rewind songs and the spotify app is also slow to process these actions. I noticed that when going in offline mode on the app, spotify is much quicker but still a little delayed. I have tried a clean install, deleting host files, deleting temp files, disabling windows firewall, clearing cache, and deleting appdata. I am on the newest windows update, and my drivers are all up to date. My PC specs are a 7900xtx, a 7800x3d, and 32 gb of ddr5 6400 mhz ram.I am on a gigabit ethernet connection, and my internet is very fast. I am logged into the same spotify account on my mac and phone and both work instantly. I have also made a new account and logged into it on my spotify app and am experiencing the same problems, so it is not an account issue.
You sure all the drivers are up to date? My experience with the delivery of drivers with windows update is minimal. Its best to look for the latest drivers from official manufactors website to be sure you're fully updated.
As you stated you've updated to the latest windows version, it sounds to me there is some driver misbehaving because of it.
The problem was happening before I updated my windows software. All of my drivers are up to date and I was hoping the windows update would fix it.

My Question or Issue
I had been previously using a wifi adapter with no issues, but when I swapped to ethernet the play/pause, skip, and volume adjustment for Spotify's desktop app all experience extreme lag. This happened around a week ago. I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling as well as turning off hardware acceleration and using no proxy in the settings. Problem persists on a different account though i have no issues with the web player. When I switch back to wifi it works just fine, but I'd rather not use spotty wifi just for Spotify.
I have been running into an issue for probably a year now on the spotify windows application. The app will sometimes have massive delays where if I pause a song it doesn't actually pause until 15-30 seconds later. If a song ends and its time to move to the next song in the playlist the music will stop for a while before finally playing the next song. Skipping (next), previous, have the same delay problem. These delays can sometimes get up to a minute long wait. Going to a different playlist will take forever as I either get a black screen or the loading animation for a long time. I have tried uninstalling and deleting all associated folders with spotify and doing a clean reinstall. I have tried clearing all the cache. I have essentially tried everything the community has recommended when it comes to this common problem and its still an issue. (before anyone suggests it yes I have tried installing the app from the microsoft store and it still has the same exact issue).
I fixed it by disabling all network adapters that are irrelevant to me.
Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network and Sharing Centre>Change adapter settings.
I do not have so many network connection options like you do. Only my ethernet connection, vpn, and wifi connection for my pc. From what I have seen from others, the problem stems from ethernet connection. Someone with this issue switched their device from ethernet to wifi and it completely solved the issue for them. My issue is that I should not have to use a slower network just because spotify developers can't make their app functional for those running windows 10/11 on ethernet connection.
