Spotify claiming no internet connection although internet connection is excellent

My Question or Issue

We have 3 PCs in the house on which we have spotify installed. My wife and I also have it installed on our phones (mine is android, hers is apple). For a few days now spotify has not been working on the Win10 PCs (although it working fine on the Win7 PC and both phones). I have uninstalled and reinstalled spotify, rebooted the PCs etc... multiple times. Spotify continues to advise that there is no internet connection or that we are running in offline node (which I am not). I have been a spotify user for a long time - this issue is really annoying! Any help appreciated.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We understand you've already tried reinstalling the app on your device, but we'd like you to:

• If you haven't yet, perform a clean (more thorough) reinstall the Spotify app. You can find out the steps to do it here. 
• Clear the host files. You can follow these steps to do it.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• The exact Spotify version you're running on your device. If you can see it on the app, you can go to the computer's Control Panel> Programs and features. There, locate Spotify and refer us the version you found in the version column.
• Do you use a VPN service? If yes, try disabling it or set Spotify as an exception. Keep in mind Spotify doesn't officially support VPN. This means that issues with the app while using VPN are expected behavior.
• Have you had issues while trying to use the web player?
