Spotify clears queue every time I close down the app.

Spotify has started clearing my queue every time I close it down. I can recreate the issue with 100% consistency. another thing to note is that every time I close down the app, the playlist I currently am on breaks down and doesn't work properly (only showing 5 songs out of 100+)
version Spotify for Windows (64 bit) (direct version from the site)
1.2.99.317.g9bd8c54d
What I tried: 

-cleared cache and relogged

-fresh install and switching to the microsoft store version
-fully reset app data from the option inside the app

Kudos for the troubleshooting you've tried so far. As a next step, would you mind trying to run the app in Safe Mode to rule out any issues with your default Windows settings and basic device drivers? Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

You mentioned that every time you close the app, you notice that the playlist you're viewing breaks down. Just to confirm, does this only happen in the queue, or does the playlist appear empty when you open it as well? If possible, send us a few screenshots of what you see after reopening the app.

Note: Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info on the screenshot you'll send us.

We'd also like to gather some additional information. Please confirm:

• Does the same happen when using the web player?
• Does the same happen when opening a different account on the affected device? You can ask for the account of a relative or a friend to open it on your computer and check.
• Does this happen regardless of the playlist you choose to add to the queue?
