Spotify crashes too much on Windows 10

Spotify crashes when I try to open it.

I'm running Windows 10 with relatively little ram in my computer (it's cavernous inside here!) and I'm not sure what would conflict with it. Except for the newest update, maybe.

it works in cmd line with appdata / roaming / spotify / spotify.exe --show-console

which means the path isn't working when i try to open it, from what i gather.

but i don't want to do that every single time i want to listen to music. that's too bad.
