Spotify crashes when trying to play all playlists in a folder

I know this used to work perfectly fine since I've made several folders with mutliple playlists. But now whenever I click the play button on a folder, the program crashes. I'm using the most recent version of Spotify, so this is clearly a new bug.

This seems to only happen with folders that have playlists that contain local files, and I suspect it's just another way Spotify is making playing local files a huge hassle. They want to include this feature to say it's there so they can attract more customers, but they seem to do everything in their power to keep people from wanting to use it.

I've been experiencing the same problem for weeks.  Trying to play a folder now consistently crashes the client.

I'm also getting this problem. I'm trying to sync local files in a playlist from my macOS Spotify (version 1.0.57.474 - released a few days ago) and the iOS client.

When I have both open at the same time to perform the sync, the macOS client crashes immediately.
