Spotify crashing my display for a few seconds

Spotify crashing my display for a few seconds

Hi there,

I have the windows store version of spotify and everytime use it I get a small display crash for a few seconds. It seems to mainly effect canvas songs and when this is not enabled I get a small amount of artifacting when opening and closing the display window. I have recently upgraded to an RTX 5070TI so was worried it was gpu issue but after extensive stress testing, memchecks and hdmi cable swap outs I can confirm this only happens with spotify. I am not running hardware accelaration within spotify but I am running it within windows. My specs are as follows:

Intel Core I7-14700K

Nvidia RTX 5070TI driver: 572.83

32GB RAM

Running on a 1080p monitor

Thanks so much for looking into this,

Harry

Hey there, @harryw55,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Are you using some sort of USB connection for your monitor(s), as in a USB hub, an HDMI to USB-C converter, etc.? There's a similar topic here where a lot of users have offered extensive troubleshooting & potential solutions, so feel free to try them yourself to see if they do the trick for you.

Hope this helps! Cheers 🤘
