Spotify desktop app randomly requesting single clicks as double clicks

This has been happening to me since 2 weeks ago. When I'm browsing my playlists or queue, when I click on tracks or the playlist names, sometimes Spotify requests it as d double click, even though I didn't double click, resulting in Spotify playing a track I was supposed to view the ... menu of, or starting a playlist, deleting my current shuffle queue. This really annoys me because I don't want to randomly lose my queue. Also, Spotify adds the artist or playlist to the home page which I don't want because I only ever play 1 playlist and the other stuff simply isn't supposed to be there. I lowered my mouse's sensitivity in the mouse options to the minimum value in the hopes of lowering the chance but it didn't seem to do anything. This happens ONLY with the Spotify desktop app and nothing else on my PC. Also before those 2 weeks this happened before but not nearly as much as currently. Advice for fixing this would be appreciated.
