My Question or Issue

I was so happy to receive my new USB external audio device Focusrite Scarlett 4i4, but this one doesn't seem to be compatible with my spotify desktop version: "Spotify  pour Windows (64 bits) - 1.2.33.1039.g8ddb5918"

If I start playing on a different device (like on my iiyama screen's sound output), I can then switch to the new USB Ficusrite device for a mono session.
But if I start spotify directly on the new device selected as windows' output, it is even worse: it says "impossible to play this file".
What can I do?

It works for any other media players (windows media player, vlc, chrome, etc...)

Is there anything I can do?

I added the screenshot of the message (sorry, in french, but if I translate it says "spotify can not read this content for the moment. If you own this file on your computer, you can import it" which does really not healp much)

OK, just needed to upgrade the firmware to get it working (and this needed the dedicated service + focusrite Control program/UI to be installed)

When you unpack it, you get a default audio USB driver, but it does not work for all apps.
