Spotify freezes since windows fall creator update

Since the Windows 10 Fall Creators update both the windows 10 spotify app and the standalone spotify app keep comepletely freezing at random moments. The only way to fix the issue is to stop spotify via the task manager and rebooting spotify just waiting for the next freeze to happen.

i have tried clean installs, rerolling the windows update and updating all drivers and cleaning out all temp files. 

Does anyone has any ideas for what else i could try to solve the issue?
