Spotify interface doesn't get updated after switching to another song

Spotify interface doesn't get updated after switching to another song

My Question or Issue

It happens when I use Spotify URIs in browser to jump to a track or album (spotify:track:ID, spotify:album:ID). The app does switch to a new song and I can hear it playing, but the UI gets stuck with previous one and don't refresh until I click somewhere in Spotify window. This happens for some time now, after some of the latest updates, and persists on two different computers that I use.

Hi there @yevander,

Thanks for reaching out. This is quite odd. Despite it being present on multiple devices, it seems likely that there is some data corruption causing this. To that end, please perform a full clean reinstall. If the issue persists after that, please let us know the app version you have and send us a screen recording of the behaviour so we can take a closer look. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

Let us know how it goes.

Indeed, it seems that a clean reinstall helped it. Maybe some old files from previous Spotify installations made years ago were causing the problem. Thank you.
