Spotify is cutting all my audio

My Question or Issue

For some reason every time I pause Spotify or a playlist finishes, it cuts all the audio on my PC. If I'm playing a game and a playlist stops, say goodbye to my game audio or people I'm talking to. It's starting to get worse now too, in that even when Spotify isn't playing at all it just cut all my audio for about 5 to 15 sec then comes back... I've already tried uninstalling and deleting all files related to Spotify. Once I uninstalled and removed everything the problem was fixed (no more audio cut outs). Now that it's been reinstalled the problem is back again. Not really sure where to go from here.

This issue is surely a bit odd. Don't worry, we'll do our best to get to the bottom of it.

First of all can you try switching Hardware Acceleration off from the Spotify app settings? Also, let us know if this is happening on a Windows PC or a MacBook, since that's unclear from your OP, and if on Windows - are you using the MS store version of the app or the one from the Spotify website.
