Music keeps pausing when I connect to headphones

My Question or Issue

This issue has been popping up for a few weeks now and has been going away on its own, but today I can't seem to make it work. When I try to listen to Spotify with Bluetooth headphones, the music will pause every time I move the phone or tap the screen). This does not happen with other streaming apps and it doesn't happen when I am playing music straight from my phone (without the headphones). I've tried updating my phone, disconnecting my headphones, etc. but nothing has worked. I am basically unable to use Spotify with headphones because of this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Could elaborate a bit on the exact behaviour here? Does this happen regardless of where the screen is tapped, regardless if the Spotify app is open or not? Does it happen when the phone is locked too? And by moving the phone, what do you mean exactly? Does any slight movement of the device cause Spotify to pause? If possible, please try and make a video of this behaviour and send it to us so we can have a look. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

Yes, it happens whether or not the phone is unlocked or not. Literally any movement. Sometimes it will pause even if I don't move the phone at all. Thanks for the video.

Is it possible to test this with a different Bluetooth device so we can narrow down the possible cause? You can also try reinstalling the app if you haven't already.

Using Bluetooth headset. Spotify will randomly pause songs and immediately play. Sometimes randomly skips forward in songs. Does not seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Using bluetooth headphones.  Spotify will randomly pause and unpause and skip forward a few seconds.  I have tried reinstalling spotify multiple times. All drivers are up to date.
